Applications:
The Walrus TQ series pumps are designed for water supply and pressure boosting in residential, commercial and light industrial applications where low or inadequate water pressure exists. The Walrus TQ800 is also a perfect solution for pumping water from your storage tank or shallow well.
Suitable liquids:
Potable water or other clean or non-corrosive liquids.
Operation Conditions:
1. Ambient temperature: Max. +104oF (40oC)
2. Liquid temperature: + 39oF(4oC) ~ +104oF (40oC)
3. System Pressure : Max. 120 PSI
4. Relative humidity: Max. 85% (RH)
5. Under normal operation, it is not necessary to adjust the pressure unless the cut in pressure is higher than preset activation point (refer to specification).
Product Features:
1. The Walrus TQ booster pump is a complete, all-in-one unit, consisting of pump, motor, pressure tank, and electronic controller. The built-in electronic controller provides constant pressure which ensures that the pump starts automatically when water is consumed and operates continuously until water is not required.
2. Compact design and quiet operation make the TQ series suitable for many applications.
3. The Walrus TQ booster pump is constructed from the top quality corrosion resistant materials.
4. Pump has built in dry-run shut off with automatic reset function.
5. The motor has built-in thermal overload to protect against high operating temperatures and over current. (Single phase motor only)
6. The Walrus TQ booster pump has an anti-cycling feature which prevents the pump from continuous starting and stopping when you have a dripping tap or minor leak in the system.
7. The pumps will lift water up to 25 ft. with foot valve and pump suction piping filled with water.

When Boosting Water pressure
The Walrus TQ800 booster pump works without an additional tank making it the easiest way to boost city water pressure. When boosting low water pressure that the incoming low water pressure and the Walrus TQ800 booster pump pressure at corresponding GPM must be added together to arrive at the total water pressure available at the Walrus TQ800 booster pump outlet. An example would be to apply 10PSI city water pressure at the Walrus TQ800 inlet + the Walrus TQ800 pumps performance = 73PSI boosted outlet water pressure at 3 GPM, 69PSI boosted outlet water pressure at 6 GPM, 63PSI boosted outlet water pressure at 9 GPM, etc. (see boost performance chart below)
To be sure you can regulate how much pressure the Walrus TQ800 outlet will provided, use the *Apollo adjustable high flow pressure reducing valve to regulate inlet pressure to the Walrus TQ800 which in turn regulates Walrus TQ800 outlet pressure.
