If you are on city water, the energy your hot water tank uses to preheat your running shower will be stopped after it reaches 95 degrees. The Roadrunner showerhead will automatically slow to a drip - waiting for you to pull the cable, adjust the water temperature and begin your shower. While showering with a Roadrunner low flow showerhead the reduced 1GPM is partially hot water which also saves energy required to produce hot water. Plus you get the savings of water and sewage cost of about 1GPM for the length of your shower.
If using a well, your saving begins with reduced electricity used by the pump while pumping 1GPM less water while showering with the Roadrunner showerhead. Plus while showering with a Roadrunner low flow showerhead the reduced 1GPM is partially hot water which also saves energy required to produce hot water.
